Music Theory allows homeschool students to explore music and music theory in an interesting and effective way. This course begins with the exploration of sound and progresses to chord structure and the theories behind chord progression. From there, homeschool students will learn about meter and reading music, and then go on to musical development. Music Theory then turns to harmony and melodies before jumping into voice leading. In order to highlight these music theory fundamentals, homeschool students will study famous composers and classic musical masterpieces. Students who pass this course will have an excellent foundation in music theory and will be able to read and write their own music.
